Tried the new jwm with tc3 alpha4........the new jwm seems to over write my custom saved .jwmrc-tray in /home/tc........after startup, if I modify .jwmrc-tray to my prefered style(tray on bottom)...restart window manager..it works...but   if I exit to prompt and ...then startx ......my changes are over witten again.....is this expected behavior?

I have something like that going on with jwm and mc2.11 as well.  I put a line at the start of .xsession that overwrites .jwmrc-tray with a saved .jwmrc-tray-lee so I don't remember if my changes would survive dropping to shell and coming back with startx (though I think they did).

I haven't fooled around with the latest alpha yet.

PPR, data persistence through filetool.sh          |  32 bit core 8.0 alpha 1
USB Flash drive, one partition, ext2, grub4dos  | Otherwise similar

Very minor point with reposted ....jwm.tcz

line 14 and line 21 of ......tce.jwm....are producing error messages in /tmp/wm_errors

I think line 14 and line 21 should be...</Menu>....not </MENU>

(This error does not seem to effect desktop right click menu)

Re...latestt..jwm.tcz
Sorry to be a pain...but it still is not right..
Now things show in right click..Applications...first item for me is ace-of-penguines
as a sub menu the games appear...however all my other applications..ie emelfm etc also
show up in the ace of penguines sub menu., not as a seperate item as they did before

Looking at ...tce.jwm....the </Menu> that should be there after the last ace of penguines
game and before the next application is missing

edit...jwm_makemenu.....the line with :
echo "</Menu>" "$OUTFILE"
in earilier versions had ..>>.. between menu and OUTFILE..

could that be it?

Yes. My burn out from doing all the various window managers is showing.
I just don't have it in me to set up yet another test environment.
Blindly making mods to such that I don't use is not the best.
Anyway, enough of my woes.
Updated and reposted.

BTW, jwm-snapshot was working all along.

Robert, I don't want to wind you up, but could it be that the two FLWM extensions are still operating on the "old" mechanism?
