Network on boot
(1/1)
jjacobs:
I have this strange issue. I have enabled my tinycore linux box to use grub and boot from the hard drive. All my extensions appear to be loading except the network. I always have to install firmware-2.6.29.1-tinycore.tcz after boot. Next I become root via su. Finally I run dhcp.sh in the /etc/init.d directory. Then the network is up.
I originally had to load firmware-2.6.29.1-tinycore.tcz using appbrowser locally from a CD. I have since copied the frimware extension to my tce/options directory on the hard drive hoping that it would automagically be installed at boot, but I still have to go through the above procedure.
I would very much like the network to be enabled during boot.
Any suggestions?
bmarkus:
Check /tce/onboot.lst file If you just copied over the extension without adding to the list it is not loaded.
Expecting you are using uptodate version.
jjacobs:
Thank you Bmarkus. That worked! I may very shortly never use another OS!!!
curaga:
You can manage the list of extensions loaded on boot using Appsaudit -> onboot.
