Tiny Core v2.11
« on: May 02, 2010, 10:15:08 AM »
Team Tiny Core is pleased to announce:

Tiny Core v2.11 (tinycore_2.11.iso), is now posted at
http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/tinycorelinux/2.x/release

tinycore_2.11.iso
tinycore_2.11.iso.md5.txt

The major theme for this release is the adoption of the freedesktop.org standard.
Our implementation provides better support of modern desktop environments while still
supporting legacy window managers. Also new is Universal OnDemand for both DEs and
legacy WMs. Thus providing users with more options for even faster booting and efficient
use of memory.

All users are encouraged to upgrade to this release as doing so will better prepare
you for the next major release version 3.0.

On a "nofstab" boot, mnttool segfaults for me.

Not really practical to know that you requested no fstab and then try to use a GUI tool to access such.
Not a new issue either as all prior versions would produce the same result.
Perhaps you are just limit testing in public rather than when you have access during alpha testing.
But in the end, feedback later, rather than sooner is helpful. Will be addressed.

No intention to do that, nor did I intentionally try the combo. Just had booted that way when I saw the mention of a mnttool update.

Maybe I missed the mention in the earlier changelogs, but I think the change was only mentioned here, in the final announcement?
