Running wine?
« on: March 11, 2010, 04:16:30 PM »
Sorry for the thread spam, but I need to know how to run wine, I have it downloaded with all the dependencies, and re-downloaded. I tryed wine and winecfg in the terminal, doesn't work :'(. There probably a simple answer for this but I'm not the greatest with linux.

Maybe we need a bit more detail. Wine works fine for me, but the only Windows program I use is KindleforPC. In that case one has to select Windows 98 emulation.

So you install Wine, and you run winecfg. What do you means by "doesn't work"? Does winecfg run? If it does, what happens when you try to install/run a Windows *.exe file?

Ooooohh, alright, I tryed running an .exe, and it works! I guess I'm just used to configuring it, then running an .exe from a path in the terminal.
