Editing GRUB in TC 2.9 Cloud

I am running TC 2.9 Cloud in VirtualBox 2.5 on Windows XP. The VB 8GB HD was partitioned and formatted in PartedMagic 4.4. Therefore, I joined the install instructions at 5 Copy over TC system files and prepare for PPR mode. All OK so far.

TC 2.9 runs on hda1 (ext3), I now wish to edit GRUB to set up a local directory on hda6 (ext3) and have the option to make an entry before or after two entries,

kernel /boot/bzImage quiet
initrd /boot/tinycore.gz

Where should I insert the entry and what specifically should it be?

Up to TC 2.2 I used the TOOLS menu option and specified hda6 Directory at Shutdown BACKUP, which doesn’t work anymore, or rather the tce in question Opera 10 wont start. The fault is not with Opera, I did the install pasting the shell commands over from Opera.

local=hdXY, local=hda6, etc. not recognised by GRUB.

I use a regular installation - not VirtualBox. I use these:

kernel   /boot/bzImage quiet tce=hda6 home=hda6 opt=hda6 max_loop=256
initrd   /boot/tinycore.gz
