EEE 701 Wireless hotkey
« on: January 11, 2010, 04:00:13 AM »
There is a very useful page in the Wiki concerning laptop hotkeys and using acpid to control them.
http://wiki.tinycorelinux.com/tiki-index.php?page=Using+acpid+to+control+your+PC+buttons

But i can't see a way to control the wireless module in my EEE701. There is an LED which shows when the wireless is on. I want to be able to the wireless module on and off.

Has any TCL users tried this yet?

If not then i'll try and get some insight from the debian scripts, i'm sure i'm not the only person who would want this:

I wrote the wiki page after a long hard battle to master that stuff.

I looked at the debian files you linked, and tried out those commands, but those modules in the modprobe statement aren't used in tcl. I have to find which modules are used in tcl.
