NOTICE
1. There's no memory limitation in browser's preferences. If you not using swap file, it may freeze your system, if there will be no free RAM memory.
2. If you want to use Flash Player, copy or symlink it to /usr/local/chrome-linux/plugins
3. And remember: Google is watching you.

First impressions (I'm aware that this is an early version as Google has not officially released Chrome for Linux yet)

-  crashed hard the first time I started it.  I selected the Import option.  Is mentioned in the "known Issues" that importing sometimes fails.

-  from second start on it ran very smoothly over a long session....except it segmented twice during the writing of this comment.....on restart it recovered the part of the message I had already written.

-  page loading/rendering speed feels comparable with Firefox. to me.  But Chromium reacts more sluggishly when pushing the back/forward buttons

-   Firefox remembers the zoom state per site, but Chromium doesn't

-   Chomium seems to forget saved passwords now and then

-   Chromium seems to have less customisation options than Firefox.

My conclusion at this time:  very promising but not ready for prime-time yet
