vpnc (strong need, also from other posts on this forum)
w3m
naim
an app to modify pdf files (extract/add pages, etc.)

I have w3m and naim compiled (as of last night) but haven't had much chance to test yet (especially since I lost wifi with an ath5k timeout again). I'll be out of town the next couple weeks but I should be able to get them packaged and submitted during that time frame.

Edit: Just to be clear, do you want only the w3m pager or w3m-el for emacs? I have both but I think I'd need to package emacs as well for the latter.

I have tried wicd without any success what about ceni.  I have used it in antiX and Sidux and it appears to be very good

What about some sort of calendar programme?
Remind would do it for me, but others might want something more graphical like Osmo.

Well, I guess if I would go for a GUI one, then it should certainly be a one with a complete PIM.

What about OpenOffice 3? There are some interesting new things in there, like the ability to see the comments of doc documents!

Another candidate is still Latex I guess.

There's a couple of posts a month or so ago on this - basically, I tried to compile oo-3, but there was a bug that prevents it from compiling with gcc-3 and gcc-4...

I'll have a look again at some point.

What is about using the binaries instead of recompiling? I tried it a while ago but failed and gave up. Do not remember exactly what was the issue, but definitely did not spent time to fix, just tried once.

The number of unneeded deps and cruft from a generic binary, basically. It could be repacked though, just like firefox-official.
The only barriers that can stop you are the ones you create yourself.

I would love to use Konqueror on tinycore. Of course with all functionality, I mean as webrowser and filemanager with drag'n'drop support.  ;D

@curaga

If you get a chance, would you take a look at converting libIDL to tcz format?  TIA

Ratpoison, a tiling WM thats very bare bones. Good for Netbooks, because there's no screen real estate lost.

I tried to compile myself, but i ran into problems.
