I really really really need a way to use TrueCrypt in TinyCoreLinux....

Trying to make a portable truecrypt image i can use on a thumbdrive for cross platform development... I have a real nightmare of a setup to get it working...

TrueCrypt Fat32 image (containing):
 - project source code
 - perforce ext3 truecrypt image
 - portable virtualbox (for osx, and windows)
 - virtualbox hard drive image with tiny core linux installed

What I need to be able to do is boot the virtualbox image of tiny core linux and mount the truecrypt ext3 image of my perforce (p4d) server root. Then I can use dropbear to ssh punch through the virtualbox NAT on from the host pc's localhost:port to the guest tinycorelinux perforce server running from the mounted image in the shared folder mounted from the host.

Then, no matter where I plug in my thumbdrive, on whatever OS I am on, I can do development.

:)

So yea, PLEASE make a TCE for TrueCrypt!!!!!!

Is possible to have a gui for mixer o something like that, to manipulate sound settings.
In OSS there is ossmix in command line, but is not clear and simple.

OSS does have a gtk2 mixer, but it was not built for the extension. It will get done after the kernel update.

There are also a number of third-party mixers that can handle OSS. If you find one you like, for example from freshmeat, please do say so :)

Xcdroast had a problem with on-memory /tmp, but I will build it again and see if i can't solve it using tmpfs.

I'am not fixed to a special program, but qiv fits exactly my needs.
If anyone knows another lightweight program which is configurable by the commandline like qiv i am also happy!
Especially I need the slideshow option with screen fitting in real fullscreen and the abillity to load whole folders, single files or all files listened in a text file.
Thanks for your help!  :D
I really dont get It compiled on Tc...

One of the great things about tinycore is the diverse environments it can support form truely tiny to large groups of applications. So it is with an acknowledgement that open office 3 may seem out of place on tinycore, I still would like to request it be made available as an extension. OpenOffice 3 can now handle the OOXML format — Microsoft’s default document format for Office 2007 and Office 2008 for Mac OS X. This ends up being an important feature that is hard to ignore.

An area of extensions that seems to be missing is web page editing or for that matter design. I would like to request KompoZer or an equivalent and aptana.

Kompozer is also offered in a binary tarball similar to the Firefox ones - does that work?

You know I think a wiki page that has all the extensions, who's working on them and where it's at in development would be an awesome thing to have instead of trying to sift through all this info.  Then each extension could have a dedicated forum channel.

Think so?

There's some reasonably detailed instructions at http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/blfs/view/svn/xsoft/openoffice.html (albeit not for the same version) - why don't you give it a go and we'll help?

I installed the komposer tarball in /home/tc as an experiment and ran the program. Received the error "error while loading shared libraries: libgtk-x11-2.0.so.0: cannot open shared object file: no such file or directory"

So, is there a better place to install the program?

This means you need to load the gtk+-2 extension (and probably its dependencies)
