In the past I have used a GPL 2 app named Autocutsel to conduct copy and paste between machines using a VNC connection (such as tightvnc.tcz).  I cannot find a similar app in the TC3 repository hence this request for an extension.

hi

I am looking into pptview, a power point presentation viewer of .pps or .ppt files.

there appear to be some alternatives such as

http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/distributions/tinycorelinux/3.x/tcz/openoffice3.tcz.info

http://www.koffice.org/kpresenter/

but IMHO they are all bloatware with large dependencies while pptview appears to have none.

2) The source file appears to be a ms file structure that someone has converted to linux.

http://mirror.internode.on.net/pub/debian/pool/non-free/p/pptview/pptview_8.0.orig.tar.gz

3) I am thinking of using dpkg-deb to submit a package based on 8.0-6 deb file

any comments?

regards

oops forgot to add the license info as its non-free

As per debian, this depends  on wine and it looks like you would need to unpack the source tar.gz somewhere appropriate in the file system for it to work?

Not just a binary extension, but a Windows binary?

That's.. sacrilege, I tell you.

I was hoping someone could provide a tcz package of Qt Mobility (http://qt.nokia.com/developer/new-qt-apis/), which is an add-on for Qt. The 1.0.2 version is stable and a 1.1.0 is in beta.

Specifically I want the Qt QML Audio/Video element from this package (provided by Multimedia) http://doc.qt.nokia.com/qtmobility-1.0/multimedia.html#qml-multimedia-elements

This will require gstreamer for the linux backend.

Ok guys. Welcome all. First i must admit that TinyCoreLinux is the best OS i ever used. I am doing quite fine with customizing it on my notebook but i would also like to test some 3D games and also have a game to play in spare time (i have GeForce GPU so it's not a problem for me) so what i need is:

-libopenal.tcz extension
-AssaultCube.tcz ( newbielink:http://assault.cubers.net [nonactive]) - fun FPS game which have low sys requirements

so if anyone can do it without hassle for me (and TCL community) i would be grateful. Maybe i could do it alone but i am not so confident (i would learn it but now i am just too tired and i need to rest so pls answer me in the meantime).

Thank you and Best Regards.

Somewhere i read one of the devellopers is also musician ;-)
So i request the marvellous Zynaddsubfx synthesizer.
It depends on (in Debian):
debhelper (>> 5.0.0),
fluid (>= 1.1.3+1.1.4rc1),
libasound2-dev (>= 0.9.4) [!kfreebsd-i386 !kfreebsd-amd64 !hurd-i386],
libfftw3-dev,
libfltk1.
1-dev (>= 1.1.3+1.1.4rc1),
libjack0.100.0-dev,
libmxml-dev (>= 2.0),
quilt,
zlib1g-dev

As I am new to Tinycore, I can't yet compile it myself.

Request for MemtestCL

Software-based tester to test for "soft errors" in GPU memory or logic.
Precompiled, ready-to-execute binaries of MemtestCL for Linux would only be available as 64bit version.

Awesome organizer that deserves more attention in my humble opinion.

I believe this may have been posted already at some point, but not all of it, and not recently. (within past month or so) Please update Tor! (repo has 0.2.2.13-alpha, would appreciate 0.2.2.17-alpha and/or 0.2.1.26-stable)

[batnas has not been active for 2 weeks+ now, and there is no official thread, so have not contacted him wrt to an update]

Hmm, I searched mail for polipo (I have deleted nothing since the beginning) and the only result was the one sent in today, and there is nothing in the spam trap.  Of course, spam older than 30 days is deleted so it could have been caught and automatically deleted there by now.

Regardless of what happened, it will be uploaded today.
