« on: November 24, 2022, 05:11:52 PM »
hi *

https://xanmod.org/ - XanMod is a general-purpose Linux kernel distribution with custom settings and new features.

 - Supports all recent x86_64 versions of Ubuntu / Debian-based systems.

this could  perhaps an alterative to the dcore kernel

https://github.com/xanmod/linux

im intrested to know of any other similar ' kernel distribution' projects
if any one reading is aware of similar

... as mentioned  hear: https://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php/topic,26014.msg166916.html
i seam to reacal reading of the posiblity to use alternative kernel&modules
all though spesific refrences to this curently escape me
... perhaps i need to refimalirise my self with the wiki content

Why fork Linux kernel ?
Isn't the Kernel good enough ?
And i think it's more vulnerable, if there be more kernels to Keep track of, i think of the security.

depending on you perspective eg :https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Linux-libre

https://www.fsfla.org/ikiwiki/selibre/linux-libre/ - GNU Linux-libre is a project to maintain and publish 100% Free distributions of Linux, suitable for use in Free System Distributions, removing software that is included without source code, with obfuscated or obscured source code,
