Your WiFi hardware probably needs a specific driver and/or firmware - what hardware do you have?

If you don’t know, you can use the lsusb or lspci commands to find out.

Hello 0TEXT,

Till you figure out and install the missing firmware for using Wifi, you could use the internet from your smartphone by USB tethering as follows.

(1) Connect a USB cable between your smartphone and a USB port of the desktop/notebook computer.

(2) Activate USB Tethering in your smartphone (setting is available in most Android smartphones under "Mobile hotspot" in Settings)

(3) Open a terminal in the desktop and use the command  "sudo udhcpc -i usb0"
(The last character after usb is zero).
