v12.0 Tinycore Pure64 and Minecraft
« on: August 19, 2021, 01:20:43 PM »
Greetings Programs,

I've been happily using Minecraft on Tiny CorePure64 for some time now, but, recently the updated minecraft launcher stopped working ... I dug and figured it out - so - I would share here.

Long story short, the embedded chromium looks for /etc/fonts - and - my generic boot up doesn't provide this.
Moreover - the minecraft-launcher binary file looks to /lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2 for the dynamic linker/loader ... AND again my default bootup doesn't include a /lib64 ... so - here is the latest 'prepare-minecraft.sh' script:

(attached)

Naturally many of the extensions listed above would be loaded as one loads X environment, and soundcard ... AND unless one has all the minecraft files present already, some networking is needed to be present -

Anyways - to the Minecraft players - I raise my pickaxe to you!

Cheers, Lexi
Lexi
