How to copy from terminal and paste to editor?
« on: May 02, 2021, 08:21:17 AM »
I know the shift/ctrl +insert to copy/paste inside terminal, but how do we copy a text from terminal to an external program, such as editor?
No key combos work for me in that regard.
Thanks in advance.

Hi AmarD
I usually highlight the text in the terminal by holding down the left mouse button and dragging the mouse pointer over
the text in question. Then I single left click where I want to paste the text, then single center click to paste.

These need to be consecutive actions. If you single left click your destination, then use the keyboard arrow key to move
the cursor, the text in the terminal will no longer be highlighted and you will have to start over.
