Attaching ethernet after boot issues
« on: July 01, 2019, 06:12:59 PM »
I noticed that if I boot with ethernet physically disconnected, and then later attach it, and start the dhcpcd service manually in the control panel, the system will not actually work with outside sources.

If you try to exit TC, it will complain that the tce directory is not writeable.

The fix of course is to boot with the ethernet cable attached first.

Just thought it was interesting that I was having this problem when attaching it later after boot.

Just a thought ---

The 64 bit machines I'm running TCpure64 on don't have any onboard ethernet ports, so I'm using a usb<>ethernet adapter instead.

Maybe that's confusing things after boot ....
