Sugestion: XZ compression in kernel + tcz; squashfs with xz + biger block size

iv just found this [linked below]  post lamenting the state of Ubuntu's Snap single-threaded decompression   
... "scripts to recreate these measurements are included" ! .. if any one with similar hw is interested in making comparison?

about higher block size: if you *really* care about all performance scenarios, more modern algorithms utilizing the dictionary approach seems to be more practical than higher block sizes.
