Disable flwm_topside [SOLVED]
« on: May 15, 2019, 12:10:26 AM »
Hi guys,

I have kind of a special problem. We are using TinyCore on Raspberry Pis for infoscreens at my college and we have to get rid of everything which is a security threat. The best way to do so is to remove the GUI, so unexperienced students can't just plug in a keyboard/mouse and install/delete apps easily. :D
To display the images I am using geeqie, which uses Xorg. What I want is that if no images are displayed, there should be a locked black screen.

As a TC beginner my first thought was: Just remove the Window Manger, but this didn't work via "tce-audit delete flwm_topside"

What are your suggestions to the problem and what would be the most elegant solution to this?

Best regards,
Christoph

So I just tried to remove TC.tcz from my onboot.lst and it worked like a charm! Only the geeqie window is there, just what I wanted.

SOLVED  :D
