Why do you think  ncurses-dev.tcz  is required for  compiletc.tcz?  You should also mention which TC version and architecture
you are referring to. The one thing I did notice (TC10 x86 and x86_64) is  ncursesw.tcz  shows up in  readline.tcz.dep  yet is
missing in  compiletc.tcz.tree.

TC10. Running 'make menuconfig' from command line. 'Make' gave a message, then terminated. Installing ncurses-dev resolved the issue.

Compiletc aims to install the minimum required to compile, not to cover every situation.

Also, please use ncursesw and not ncurses.
