As per the dbus info file:
Code: [Select]
$ sudo /usr/local/etc/init.d/dbus [start|stop|restart|reload|status]

Hi mocore
Is  desktop.sh  not found or is  desktop.sh  not finding something?  Xlibs.tcz  provides  desktop.sh.

Assuming we are speaking of the chromium-browser extension from the tc-10.x x86 repo...

I just downloaded and loaded chromium-browser and it worked fine - I was using Xorg-7.7-3d at the time.

There were a couple of error messages (the dbus daemon was not running), but that didn't prevent things from working:
Code: [Select]
$ chromium-browser
[6969:6979:0410/091105:ERROR:bus.cc(307)] Failed to connect to the bus: Failed to connect to socket /var/run/dbus/system_bus_socket: No such file or directory
[6:6:0410/091105:ERROR:nss_util.cc(452)] Error initializing NSS without a persistent database: NSS error code: -8023

sorry juanito!
i did not mention that
this was running : corepure64.gz & vmlinuz64 from 10.x/x86_64/release/distribution_files

was going intending to post in the pure64 forum but ... i was not shore at the time what the exact core .gz i had booted =/

Hi mocore
Is  desktop.sh  not found or is  desktop.sh  not finding something?  Xlibs.tcz  provides  desktop.sh.

unfortunately i don't know , i had loaded Xorg-7.7  using tce-ab >search >install , and wrote down the error.

This fixes things for me:
Code: [Select]
$ sudo ln -s /tmp/tcloop/fontconfig/usr/local/etc/fonts /etc

/usr/bin/tce-load 147 desktop.sh:not found
I would call seeing many errors relevant.

Line 147 of  tce-load  does call  desktop.sh.  What do the following commands return:
Code: [Select]
ls -l /usr/local/tce.installed/Xlibs
ls -l /usr/bin/desktop.sh

hi rich
iv found that the desktop.sh errors appear after openbox is loaded if openbox is loaded before xorg

id been trying set things up from memory and had forgotten that the load order can be important ,.. until i was reminded trying to config sound via alsa/hdmi
