SCM extensions obsolete vor still current?
« on: March 18, 2019, 05:20:35 AM »
Just took once again a look at core concepts and found (to my surprise) SCM extension in the overview diagram at  http://tinycorelinux.net/arch_core.html . I am slightly puzzled since I thought these are obsolete since years. Any opinions?

Hi bernhard
I think SCM extensions are obsolete since they are listed here:

Hi bernhard
The drawing was done by ixbrian who hasn't been active since 2015, so there may not be a source file available to modify. It does
document a way to add programs while leaving the main file system virtually untouched. Since it's a  .png  file, it does not easily
lend itself to editing. However, adding a note to the  .png  file stating that SCMs are no longer in use would not be difficult.
