My Installed OS Doesn't Boot

(1/2) > >>

Anybody else encountering this problem?  My laptop claims that there is no OS installed after I booted TinyCore from a USB.  I tried to use Boot Repair on a USB drive to fix it, but it just says that I have legacy enabled so it can't do anything.  When I disable legacy mode in the BIOS, it won't let me boot from a USB at all.

Juanito:
How did you install tinycore to the usb stick?

The installation for legacy bios boot and uefi boot is is not the same - if you search the forum there are a couple of posts on how to make a dual legacy bios/uefi boot usb stick.

SYSLINUX

Oh I mean Lubuntu won't boot after I ran Tiny Core.  All I really did was some web browsing and did not install Tiny Core to the hard disk or anything

We have no idea what other steps may have been taken during your experimentations to boot your USB, however the end result which worked may have prompted you to enable BIOS Compatibility Support Module to boot your USB if your original OS booted via UEFI mode..

Another consideration is whether your boot device has changed priority ?
