Easy Installation of extensions
« on: October 21, 2018, 02:35:55 AM »
Good Morning everyone!
I am new to tinycore and generally in linux (former windows user) and i have a (rather stupid) question. I am not really familiar with how linux works, so i was wondering if there was an easy way to install all available packages there are for tinycore, from command line ideally, just to have my machine ready to do anything. Sorry if this is a stupid question and thanks for your time!  :D

Not a wise thing to do, (on any Linux) - just install what you need when you want it. :)
AMD, ARM, & Intel.

Hi Inamatus
There are 2471 extensions in the repo ranging in size from a few K bytes to over 140Meg bytes, you couldn't
possibly need all of them. The repo is currently about 3.6Gig bytes. The repo is a shared resource and downloading
it in it's entirety is considered to be bad form. Besides all of the bandwidth you'll deprive others of, the site where
the repo is hosted may have limits on how much data per month can be downloaded, which you would also
seriously impact.

Please follow core-users advice and:
... just install what you need when you want it. :)
