ISO doesn't seem to be bootable
« on: February 18, 2018, 05:57:37 AM »
I've been trying to install core on a USB drive for days, and it never boots. Tried several different tools, and finally today I tried one that tells me it isn't a bootable ISO to begin with. Figured it was a bad download, so I downloaded it several more times. Not bootable every time.

You could burn the coreplus iso to cd/dvd, boot and use tc-install to install to your usb stick.

Otherwise there are several threads on this forum that explain what to do.

That's a windows tool - the op didn't say whether they were using linux, mac or windows to create the bootable usb stick or what errors they got.

You're right, of course, and the OP could spend some useful time reading the forum. I thought I would offer the solution that works for most PCs in the wild.
