cannot ping gateway
« on: October 14, 2017, 09:54:44 PM »
I have an RTL8187B USB network adapter and all looks okay. ifconfig/netstat etc
but I have no access to other devices and cannot even ping the gateway.
Not sure where to start

*** Sorry, just answered my own question. I had to bring eth0 down. Can I automate this some how ?

You can use the nodhcp bootcode so that eth0 will not connect on boot.
