Update curse?

(1/1)

labeas:
Don't you get pissed-off when you've just installed opera-12 and the
1st on-line shows "GET THE NEW OPERA13" or the continual "GET CHROME"
for many google-searches?
Comparing opera-12 and [what I've seen of] chrome, seems to show a
new realisation. Opera-12 has evolved into an absurd zillion-passages
tool, and chrome has taken the minimalist [more structured] approach.
Which relates to the 2 views of your computing system:
1. M$ adopted by TC: like a number of free-floating objects:.
flush-toilet, coffee-grinder,... filing-cabinet;.
2. *nix: a file-tree, with EVERYTHING simply related to the SINGLE
<root>.
Approach 1 is Ok for users with a good associative memory.
Approach 2 is for old/weak-memory-users who can't remember the
various products-of-numbers. They just know the UNIVERSAL algorithm
to multiply ANY 2 integers.

The AppsBrowser failed to show:  libgdk-x11-2.0.so.0
which opera-12 complains of needing  [AFAIK for <do *.jpg> ].
----
BTW, having fetched <opera-13.deb 64>; whould fetching.
<apt-get-64> allow installing it. Which of course is NOT the idea
of TC64 ?

Using the apps gui "provides" function shows that libgdk-x11-2.0.so.0 is supplied by the gtk2 extension
