Hi Tiny Core Experts,

Apparently, quite a while back in 3.x days, GNU Parallel was in the repository:

http://tinycorelinux.net/3.x/tcz/parallel.tcz.info
http://tinycorelinux.net/3.x/tcz/index_nojs.html
http://distro.ibiblio.org/tinycorelinux/3.x/tcz/src/parallel/

I am wondering if anybody has a current TCZ for this wonderful GNU application?

thx
Billy

Hi Juanito, you are truly a hero member.  I was so surprised and happy to see that you brought back the GNU Parallel tool from the archives.

We all have our favorite command line tools, for sure, but I have to say that GNU Parallel is one of the best productivity tools ever!  If you have any processing tasks that run sequentially, today, do consider parallel to run them simultaneously.  I'll be using it to test hard disk drives, the long scans can take 1.5 hrs per terabyte so running parallel can save days.

Again, thank you, Juanito!

thx
