Why only one console?!
labeas:
/etc/inittab, which is INaccessible for fixing: limits the VTs to 1 only.
Using sudo su, and repeated openvt, I can get a chain of ROOT VTs.
But many actions require non-ROOT.

A further killer-app would be < mapping the CapsLock key to * > !

It's in the initrd. It's not inaccessible except for those who don't read.

If you can't "fix" the files in your initrd because you refuse to read the wiki and/or the book, you could still use the
multivt
boot code, as it has been suggested to you several times I think. That's much easier, too, btw.

Hi labeas

What would be the point in remapping the CapsLock key to the * key ?
Misalf:
@ Rich,
I don't quite understand why you're reacting to this obviously irrelevant, substance-less statement. If you're not trolling back, that is.

? let's see if this <new route in links works> ?
Why does M$pook on this laptop consider it good reason to !BEEP! for CapsLock?
If it's not obvious try google.
