« on: January 08, 2017, 12:17:28 AM »
i use piCore-8.1 and i don't find the mpd package.
I would make an audio server.
is there an easy way to grab this package from another distro ?
Thanks,

I got MPD set up on a Raspberry Pi 3 with piCore by following the instructions for compiling MPD here: http://bz31.tuxfamily.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=core:picore_rpi3. It's in French but easy to follow.

Hi there,

You can try using another daemon called "dermixd" - I've used this for a while now and works much better than mpd.

I've already built a TCZ that depends on "libmagic" and can email to you as I see it's too large to attached here.

There is limited documentation but you can see more about the project Thomas has going here :

http://thomas.orgis.org/dermixd/

It's really a great TCP controlled daemon that allows you to have perfect cross fading and loads more!

Enjoy!
