Remastering TinyCore (Modifying default bootsync file)
« on: February 23, 2017, 04:52:04 PM »
Hello
After reading the following Wiki page http://wiki.tinycorelinux.net/wiki:remastering , I have attempted to edit the bootsync file before packing and creating an ISO. However when I boot from the remastered ISO the bootsync file has not been changed. I feel like I am doing something seriously wrong, Can anyone give me any "hooks" to resolve this.

Many thanks!
I would tell you a UDP joke but you probably wouldn't get it.

Have you edited  /opt/bootsync.sh  inside the initrd?
If your CD image contains a backup file, its contents might overwrite your modifications.
Download a copy and keep it handy: Core book ;)

Thanks for your reply

I am editing /opt/bootsync when TinyCore has been extracted into /tmp/extract on my host machine.
