Socat request （for tinycore 7.x x86_64）

hi,i'm trying using socket  serial port to commuicate between host and vm.  TinyCore 7.0 x86_64 running on the vm. And i have created a unix socket in host and a character device in vm. Now i want to use socat to forward the data from the character device to a unix socket file in vm, but i cannot find socat in http://tinycorelinux.net/7.x/x86_64/tcz/.

Could you be so kind to include socat in TC7 x86_64 repo, please

i have searched for "socat" in this forum before, only found a post request for a x86 socat under Raspberry Pi Category which was posted by bmarkus on February 02, 2015, 10:41:16 PM

I meant that there is now a socat extension in the corepure64 repo..

WoW!After installed ncurses,openssl,readline, I can also run it under tinycore 6.x x86_64!

Can it be added to 6.x repo?I just found my version is 6.4 ....>_<

So far, you're the only one using socat and you've already downloaded it, so I'm not sure there's much point to add it to the tc-6.x repo.

It's perhaps unlikely in this case, but something compiled against a newer glibc/kernel might give problems when run under an older glibc/kernel.

You could always upgrade tinycore from 6.4 -> 7.0  ;)

How about an update to socat for TC 10.x and ncursesw for 32 and 64-bit? The free signed certificate scripts for Let's Encrypt want it.

32-bit socat updated - the 64-bit looks to be the latest version already?
