pls give me a default input on web pages

To go to a web page that has one or more input boxes and find I can just start typing is too rare.
Whether logons, searches, or whatever, to my thinking, if there is a textbox it should allow immediate input.

If the purpose of the page is focused, selecting a default should be manageable. Let me take the TinyCore forum web page as example. To select the page suggests I want to participate in the forum. I should just be able to immediately enter my id and tab to password.

So, there is my rant; expression of frustration. Thanks for listening!
