is there an xinit command in CorePlus 6.2?
« on: May 11, 2015, 02:53:38 PM »
Hi: I am trying to connect from a PC using CorePlus 6.2 into a Debian running on a remote embedded system. In Linux Mint 17 I am using:
$ sudo xinit -- :1
then I am getting a small white window and I can connect via ssh into my remote system.
After that I can start fluxbox on that remote machine and have the GUI on my client.

Is there a way to do that with Core 6.2?
Please help.
t(w)o be(ers) or not t(w)o be(ers) that is the question

There is no xinit. Try commenting out the desktop call in .xsession and run startx normally, you'll get the X server running without a WM.
The only barriers that can stop you are the ones you create yourself.
