ok, firefox (at least latest Official versions) require

libXdamage.so.1  (a dep of cairo) &
libcairo.so.2

so installed extension
cairo.tcz (and deps)

now firefox loads fine

not sure why these are missing, maybe the firefox dep files need updating..?

Hi again!

Had cairo.tcz installed but maybe it didn't load. Have changed it to load at boot now and firefox works. Took the time to try some other browsers and fifth doesn't seem so bad. Thanks juanito!

Thanks and have fun,
meo

Which firefox dep needs updating? Also, fltk-1.1.10 is still available, and dep files of FLTK 1.1 apps should include it.

Hi curaga!

(Even though it doesn't belong here)Thanks for the FIFTH! Nice to see some new software around. I'm running Plan 9 OS on Raspberry Pi and that REALLY is something different but I love it. Keep up the good work!

Kind Greetings,
meo

Firefox works great and dep's are good too, but needs cairo.tcz adding to the firefox.tcz.dep file.  Not sure how I missed that in the past..

Added to x86 firefox.tcz.dep and firefox-official.tcz.dep.

I think we have a winner!    new fluxbox compiled for tc-6.x without libiconv,  is working very well.  give me just a few more days..

Are custom patches "allowed"?
You can do stuff like this with fluxbox:
Code: [Select]
session.screen0.toolbar.tools: rootmenu, workspacename, nextworkspace, showdesktop, iconbar,
Notice "rootmenu" and "showdesktop" which are not documented I think, yet natively available.

With the attached .diff, those 'toolbar icons' get their own 'arrows' (UP and DOWN in addition to LEFT and RIGHT).

See attachments.

Sounds great.   I think a default extension and a _mod version sound like the way to go?

LXterminal must be rebuilt due to libffi changes. In the mean time you can install libffi5.tcz
