Suggestion for remastering script
« on: November 16, 2014, 03:58:50 AM »
I've been trying out remastering, which went remarkably easily, thanks for that.  8)
However, when I copied my remaster to a pendrive it didn't boot because it wasn't a hybrid iso. :(
I ran isohybrid on my ezremaster.iso, re copied it to my pendrive, & booted up. :)

So my suggestion is to have the script create hybrid iso files automatically when running the remaster script.

No.  This would prevent the ISO from working on machines that don't support isohybrid.
A checkbox to create a hybrid iso might be useful though.

I'll go with a checkbox - aren't all the TC .iso's hybrids though(?).

No, only the TinyCore and CorePlus.  Core is not hybrid.
Core is meant to be a boot CD where core cannot be easily added to the machines boot loader.  The  tce directory resides on the hosts harrd drive.
It can also be an installer if wired ethernet is available.

TinyCore and CorePlus are installer CDs.
