dCore-java-installer
« on: April 05, 2014, 12:21:15 PM »
In the prebuilt repo now is dCore-java-installer for x86, works with dCore and Ubuntu dCore.  It brings up a browser of your choice, you download the JRE (the Linux x86 .tar.gz version, not the RPM), then it creates an SCE along with firefox plugin and desktop files and icon.

Instructions:

$ importsce dCore-java-installer

$ loadsce dCore-java-installer

$ dCore-java-installer

dCore-java-installer has been updated to accomodate release versions that are something besides 2 digits.  Now on version jre-8u121.  Tested now and works.

Starting with Firefox version 52, the Java NPAPI plugin is no longer supported.  Leaving this extension up for older dCore ports and if the support changes in the future.
