gnumeric.tcz on 5.1/5.2 - missing dep, redraw errors
(1/1)
dentonlt:
Using gnumeric.tcz on 5.1/Pure64 and 5.2/x86:
* tce-load -i loads the extension, but gnumeric wants librsvg. I'm not sure if this is a dep missing from gnumeric directly, or from cairo or one of gnumeric's deps.
* I get quite a lot of redraw errors in gnumeric, especially when scrolling inside the window or resizing the window. Tried on both Xorg and flwm. On Pure64, this goes away after bumping goffice to 0.10.13 and gnumeric to 1.12.13. I'll test this on x86, also, as I actually need/use gnumeric on an x86 laptop. I'm not certain that bumping goffice won't break other things, and maybe my gnumeric configure options (w/o python, w/o perl) do not match the extension in the repository.
In any case, maybe someone else [bmarkus?] can advise.
EDIT: ok, bump/rebuild doesn't help on 5.2/x86. I'll keep bug-checking ...
bmarkus:
librsvg is a gnumeric dependency. Thanks for noting, will update dep list.
No idea on redrawing.

FWIW, similar problem on libreoffice, now upgraded TC to 5.3 (x86). I'll keep digging for a solution.
Tried changing the gtk theme, removing gtk theme, removing libreoffice settings files, checked all extension md5 sums, reverted to base flwm, etc, etc. No luck.
I can't make the problem show up on the gtk-test program/s ... I'll start reviewing the gnumeric/libreoffice code soon. I can't figure out why noone else has ever seen this happen, though =\ Weird.

A lot of components may cause that, including pixman and cairo (in addition to those you listed; gtk and the app itself). When you say flwm, do you mean Xvesa?
