Thunder Bird droping messages
« on: March 14, 2014, 09:21:41 AM »
I want to use TinyCore running from a CD to check suspicious emails. When I forward email from another system, if it has
a URL, the message does not show up in Thunder bird. If I send the same message to someone else, they see it. The two
systems I am testing with are on the same network. (my home network) I can find nowhere in the Thunder Bird configuration
where there is a "filter" causing this.
Has anyone else seen this? Solved it?

Thanks

Your CD will not have an MTA so local mail will not be used.
Thunderbird connects to a POP or IMAP server to download mail.
Your CD boot of Core will have your home directory and mail in RAM,
so you may be running out of RAM.

It is only messages with a URL in the message body. All other (that I have tested so far) show up on the TinyCore system.
I am using my ISP as the mail server.
