Hello

is there any chance of having an Extension of "arachne" browser built?   (.tcz)

The browser is very lean graphical browser using the SvGlib of gaphics and thus not needing X.

It works as a graphics browser in the frame buffer.  It seems a nice browser.

also is it possible to have an app called Pianobar which is a terminal app for playing pandora streaming music?

many thanks

Vince.

Where did you see that arachne could run on framebuffer?

See this thread:

dont know tiny

it said it did not need X to display graphics

so i figured that it used the SVGALib library and framebuffer

it says that's what it uses.....SVGALib  and does not need X

I believe framebuffer would not be of any relevance for arachne, other apps like e.g. mplayer or links could output graphics via framebuffer or svgalib or X11 when built to support all of those.

I played with latest arachne for DOS in dosemu yesterday which worked fine with local files under Xorg, but failed on virtual terminal - I did not go as far as attempting to set up networking for dosemu.

I am getting this error when installing pianobar from sourc: CC  src/main.c
make: c99: Command not found
make: *** [Makefile:108: src/main.o] Error 127
I'll see about creating a new thread if no one responds.
