On boot item there is blank extension
« on: January 15, 2014, 11:18:22 AM »
Today when i open Apps for on boot maintenance here On boot item there is blank extension i thinks its a blank extension so i delete it and that time all my extension which is present in On boot Item will be deleted i m so worried about that then ii close the apps and open onboot.lst and that time i shocked when it is also blanked. But suddenly i think that i have a backup of onboot.lst so i happy again. i always create a back of all that type of files its my habit.
Now question is that what happened and how a blank extension come in On boot item any one have some idea about that.
May be its my mistake but its happen with me.and blank extension present in on boot item.

Sounds like you did a manual edit of onboot.lst and had a blank line in it.

i open Apps tool then on boot maintenance then on right side on boot item here a blank extension present with no name when i click on that it is highlighted i think its blank then i delete after that my all extension on right side will be deleted and my on boot item list will be blanked then i check it from /tce/onboot.lst its also blank.

You said that already.
It sounds like you had previously used an editor to edit onboot.lst and left a blank line.
