GNU depmod vs BusyBox depmod
« on: November 24, 2013, 08:29:35 AM »
Hi,

I was looking at installing ALSA on 5.x, when i saw that depmod(GNU) was a dependency.
My question is, why I have to use GNU depmod over BusyBox depmod?

When running both of them, it seems that GNU depmod uses a lot more memory, but also finds more dependencies.
BB depmod finds less dependencies. Why is that?
What is the difference between GNU depmod and BB depmod?
