« on: October 10, 2013, 09:19:10 AM »
hi

I cannot install grub-0.97-splash.tcz on thiny core due to the following error:

HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found.

Is a repository problem?
Where can I add them from the command line and what repo server?

You failed to tell us what version of Core you are running.
I'll guess 5.0 since there is no legacy grub extension in 5.0.

Sorry, it's the newest Version 5.0.1.

BTW I would like to install grub-0.97-splash.tcz according to:

http://www.parkytowers.me.uk/thin/wyse/s10/Linux.shtml

Should I use Core 4.X?

Hi ccc
You can try the version that's in the 4.x repository. Install  ncurses.tcz  using the  Apps  utility. Then use  wget  to fetch
grub-0.97-splash.tcz  and  grub-0.97-splash.tcz.dep  form the 4.x repository. See here for syntax for  wget:
