-- The "tinycorelinux" website is temporarily unavailable
« on: July 17, 2013, 04:30:02 AM »
I'm currently connected to Internet through a Sock5 proxy (actually Kitty SSH with the equivalent of OpenSSH's -D option, and configured to go through the local HTTP proxy), and I use Firefox, on Windows :( .
Almost every day with this setup, I have to try and open forum.tinycorelinux.net several times before it actually works. At first, I get this page:

TITLE: "NET.NET [The first domain name on the Internet!]"
BODY:

Oops! The "tinycorelinux" website is temporarily unavailable, please try again later.
powered by NET.NET [The first domain name on the Internet!]

Am I the only one, or is there a temporary problem?

This is the first I've heard about it in all time, so probably unique to your proxy/setup.

While accessing this post I also got an error at first. After pressing F5 it went away. sadly i was too quick with this automated procedure to see the error :(

I often have to try two or three times to log in because the web site reports that it failed to connect to the database.  I don't remember the text of the error message but it shows a 403 error.  I've always just assumed it was too busy... Or maybe it is running on Windows and doesn't have enough licenses.  ;)

Yep, the forum occasionally is slow or can't connect to the DB within the timeout.

I wonder if the error I see is related to the time of day.
At 10:15 am today (GMT+2), I tried 10 times, leading to 10 failures.
At 11:00 am today (GMT+2), I had no problem at all.

If that is so, then depending on the time-zone you live in, and your waking-hours habits, you may never see this error…
