3G or GPRS internet on TC. Solved.
« on: May 09, 2009, 07:18:39 AM »
I use wvdial and PPPD. I renamed wvdial.dsl to wvdial.tce and added library libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3 to /usr/lib. I took it from DSL. I have created wvdial.conf. I have loaded extension with cdc_acm. My connection starts, it looks like I am on line but browser cannot connect to any page. On other distro, I saw module ppp_generic which is not present in TC. Could it be the problem?

the topic has been addressed several times in the forum, please use the search function in order to find the posts again (i believe it was in the how to section). by the way, I won't follow you in renaming apps with tce/tcz and adding libs to the base, since dependencies are mostly not met resulting in a broken system.

I solved my problem. Used search on the forum. I added /etc/resolv.conf. I got on line from DSL and then copied resolv.conf from DSL to TC. I am writing this post from TC.
