Bug in Ruby.tcz and libssl-0.9.8.tcz
« on: October 18, 2012, 11:05:36 PM »
I am using core version 4.6.2 x86.

I installed ruby.tcz then download rubygems from the rubygems website.  I then installed the gems: sass and rhc.

All of this worked perfectly without error.  However, when I tried using the gems sass and rhc I got errors which I wrote about in this forum post: http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php/topic,14221.0.html

A forum member told me to install libssl-0.9.8.tcz.  I did that using the tce-load -wil.

Then tried running both the sass and rhc gems and they seem to be working without problem.

I  guess ruby.tcz should automatically load libssl-0.9.8.tcz as a dependency.

It would work. However the best would be to rebuild the extension against openssl-1.0.0
