tcloop empty after update to tc4.4
« on: April 11, 2012, 11:55:01 AM »
Since updating to tc4.4 I have two system with issues, one of these systems fails to show any contents of tcloop via the command-line or fluff, yet the system stats show all extensions are installed.    However no extensions are listed under "filesystems" or "mounts"   Other than conky config file not loading all other application function normally, even firefox.

The only error I've seen occurred when attempting to write to the temp directory which results with a tmp directory read only message..
iirc this system was either running 4.21 or 4.3 prior to the 4.4 update using grub4dos as the boot loader.

The update to 4.4 seemed to go according to plan including subsequent updates.  copied core.gz and vmlinz to their previous location as specified in the boot config file and updated xprogs etc etc..

So where did I go wrong during this update..?

If you have the copy2fs.flg file, there will be no extensions in filesystems or mounts

So I removed the two selected app's from the "selective copy install",  rebooted then deleted both zero byte copy2fs.flg and copy2fs.lst files, on the next reboot all is back to normal..

So can I go ahead and reinstall my two most used applications into selective copy install now that all apps are loading correctly??

Hi coreplayer2
Yes, using AppsAudit of course.

lol  yes my bad, that was a typo whilst on another pc..

and have restored my selective copy to fs install options and all is normal thanks guys,  so the questions remains, what caused the flag???   Was i supposed to remove items from the copy2fs list prior to the upgrade??

You probably clicked on "Toggle Default Copy Install" under "Install Options" in AppsAudit.
