How to determine which firmware to keep?
« on: January 24, 2012, 09:59:34 AM »
I am booting successfully into TinyCore with working Wifi. Since I want to optimize for size, I tried to figure out which firmware*.tczs  I could actually remove! How would I do that?

I started out with removing all, but obviously I need some, since that did not work...

If you look in dmesg it sometimes says which firmware is being loaded

Hi StefanSch
Open the  ControlPanel  and click on  System Stats. Click on the  dmesg  tab and scroll down until
you find the message that says that it's loading firmware for your card, it should be near the bottom.
That should tell you which file is being loaded.
