Since last week I have returned online with a modem compatible with linux, and then I went back and customize a Microcore.

I found these problems:
-The "Set Time" "Top" "Xkill" menu items don't work
-Both backup from Control Panel and in the exit Menu don't work. Control Panel Error is :
"Error occured.
Make sure you are using a valid backup/restore device. Some errors are logged in /tmp/backup_status"
Shutdown error is:
"Errors occured during backup!
See: /tmp/backup_status."
backup_status file don't exist.

I use safebackup boot code and actual core elements from http://distro.ibiblio.org/tinycorelinux/3.x/release_candidates/microcore/

in the meantime I will make a couple of tests, if I will get some results I will inform

Ok, without safebackup boot code, backup work correctly.
one question: What does "safe" backup? I have observed that update both the "mydata.tgz" that "mydataback.tgz"
In practice, the old mydata becomes mydataback and new mydata is saved? Is true?

Many people use microcore with full X and no errors.
Perhaps you did not get a full install. What is the specs of target hardware?

Yes.
Hopefully you are rich in disk space. It is best to use filetool.sh -d to check.

Did you add files to your /opt/.filetool.lst?

Ah, e17 DE. I too, find some menu items do not work with this DE.

I suggest that you switch to a better supported WM or DE as the items you claim don't work do with using supported alternatives.

Or post to the TCE Q&A Forum regarding the e17 collection of extensions.
