Title: tinycore-exittc.desktop missing
Post by: jls on January 21, 2011, 07:14:11 PM
we already discussed this but now I've thought more.
This file was dropped from the distro cause it was causing duplicate entries in some desktop environments, like LXDE.
The lxde extension was made (I think) before the desktop files were introduced in tinycore, but now that they are in the base they should be removed from the DEs.
So again I kindly ask to reintroduce this missing and so necessary desktop file.

It was dropped because it was causing a duplicate in non-freedesktop window managers. Most window managers have an exit option. There is no option in the freedesktop specs to support only display in freedesktop compliant WM/DEs as that would make no sense. If you need such then you should add this .desktop item to your freedesktop compliant extension.

actually the best thing to do is to modify the enlightenment window manager code to adapt it to tc
