Title: Qualcomm 3g modem
Post by: schizo on October 25, 2010, 03:38:03 AM
Hello!
I tried tcl on my Acer Aspire One ZG5 [160 GB hdd, 1GB RAM] & liked the speed!

My problem is that my only means on connectivity is the internal HS-USB WWAN modem.

I have the firmware from my WinXP installation, I have a gobi_loader app that works with qcserial to handle the initialization of the modem & the loading of the firmware.

My question is, how do I get qcserial & the gobi_loader compiled into the kernel?

Or should qcserial be added as a module?

How would I go about doing this?

Thank you for your consideration.

qcserial is available in the usb-serial extension. Whether it needs to be patched, no idea.

Thanks for the info!

I did a search using both Qualcomm & qcserial, but I didn't locate anything.

Appreciate the help!

Did you try the "provides" search? It targets the file lists, while the normal search goes through info files.
