Title: winecfg doesn't see jack
Post by: P5music on October 06, 2010, 10:06:13 AM
Hello,
I am using wineasio and it works with Reaper for the audio channels but not for the midi ports.
wineasio uses jack and wine so I run winecfg and see that jack is not present in audio tab choices (just Oss is there).
I ask how to make winecfg see jack and if this is related to missing midi ports in Reaper (tried both seq and raw midi options).
Thanks

If it is useful for someone:

I replaced the recent extension wine.tcz with an older one (the file has date=march 2010) and now winecfg sees jack and alsa.
According to some posts in other forums I checked just alsa and unchecked jack so wine can use alsa midi ports.
wine uses also jack, even if it is unchecked.
(note: it was also necessary to drop 3.x release to see snd-usb-audio module)
